Vplank is a stream-overlay tool for VTubers. This page explains exactly what we store, why, and who else can see it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

1. What we collect

Your Google account. Signing in gives us your user ID, email address, display name and profile picture. We never see your Google password.

Your settings. Everything you configure — reaction tiers, throw objects, colours, your public page — is stored against your account so the overlays can read it.

Keys we need to run the overlays. Two keys we create for you: your overlay key, which is part of your OBS overlay URLs, and a relay key, which is part of your Ko-fi webhook URL. Plus the credentials of the services you connect: your Streamlabs socket token, and Streamlabs access tokens if you link with Connect Streamlabs; Twitch access tokens, used only to read your Channel Points redemptions; your StreamElements account ID and JWT token; your Gank Stream Alert URL; and your VTube Studio plugin token. They are used only to receive your donations and drive your own avatar.

Files you upload. Images (GIFs included) and audio clips you add to the tools.

Page views. Each page counts one view per browser session: the page path and the domain of the site that linked to it. There is no cookie and no identifier, and nothing follows you between sites.

Donation events. When a viewer tips you, Vplank receives the donor name, amount, currency, message and time so your overlay can react. Ko-fi tips reach our server through your webhook and are stored there, so your tip page can show a recent feed; a tip the supporter marked private on Ko-fi is stored as “Anonymous”, without its message. Tips that arrive through Streamlabs, StreamElements or Gank (including Twitch Bits and subs, and YouTube Super Chat and Jewels relayed by Streamlabs), and TikTok gifts from TikFinity, an app on your own PC, go straight from those services to your overlay in OBS. Twitch Channel Points redemptions come from Twitch to our server: for a reward you set up in Vplank we store the viewer’s display name, the reward title and the effect for 7 days, so that tool’s overlay can play it. Redemptions of other rewards are not stored.

Pro purchases. Stripe checkout session and payment IDs, the number of months, and your region. We never see or store card numbers — Stripe handles that end to end.

2. How we use it

To run the service: show your menu, fire your avatar's reactions, and unlock Pro tools when you have paid for them.

To let your viewers see your public tip page and the recent-tips feed on it.

To answer you when you email us for support.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. What is public by design

Your public tip page shows your display name, your bio, your reaction menu and prices, and a feed of recent tips — donor name and amount only (messages are never shown there). Anyone with the link can see it. That is the point of the page, but do tell your viewers so nobody is surprised.

Your OBS overlay renders on your stream, so anything it shows is visible to your audience.

4. Cookies and local storage

No advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser keeps a sign-in session from Google, your chosen language, and a few small values the pages need to work, such as cached exchange rates.

5. Who else is involved

Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions) — our backend, hosted in Singapore (asia-southeast1).

Cloudflare Pages — serves this website.

Stripe — processes Pro payments and handles all card and PromptPay data.

Ko-fi, Streamlabs, StreamElements, Gank and Twitch — your own accounts. Tips go straight to you; we only receive the notification that a tip happened. YouTube Super Chat and Jewels reach Vplank through Streamlabs, and TikTok gifts through TikFinity on your own PC.

Google Fonts — the Thai, Japanese and Korean pages load a web font from Google, the dashboard loads its fonts from Google in every language, and a streamer's public tip page loads the font that streamer picked, in any language.

cdnjs (Cloudflare) — delivers the open-source Socket.IO library the dashboard and the OBS overlays use to receive Streamlabs alerts. It only serves the file; no Vplank data is sent to it.

6. Your rights

You can download a copy of your data, or delete your account and everything in it, yourself: sign in to the dashboard, open Connections, and use Download my data (JSON) or Delete my account in the Your data panel at the bottom. Deleting happens immediately and cannot be undone. To correct something you cannot change in the dashboard, or if you can no longer sign in, email us and we will do it. Deleting your account removes your settings, keys, uploads and donation feed; billing records are kept only as long as tax and accounting rules require.

If you are in the EU or the UK, our basis for processing is performing the contract you signed up for, plus your consent for anything optional. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those words are defined there.

7. Children

Vplank is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If a child's data reaches us, email us and we will delete it.

8. Retention

Settings and keys stay until you change or delete them. The recent-tips feed is capped and rolls over. Payment records are kept for accounting.

9. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Your billing record and payment history can only be written by our server, never by a browser. Your overlay key is a password in a URL — treat the overlay URL as a secret, and if you ever paste it somewhere public, email us and we will issue a new key.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and update the date above.
