Viewers tip, and something flies at your avatar

A tomato at 20, an egg at 50, a pie at 100. The object flies across the screen, splats on your model, and — if you want — knocks the model itself sideways in VTube Studio.

How it works

This runs as its own OBS browser source above your model. It needs no VTube Studio at all to work: the object and the splat are drawn in the overlay. VTS is only needed if you want the model to physically react to the hit.

Money tips and YouTube Jewels each keep their own price list, so they can throw different things at different amounts.

Set it up

  1. Connect a tip sourceKo-fi, Streamlabs, StreamElements, Gank — whichever you already use. Tips stay in your own account.
  2. Choose objects and pricesPick an object per amount. Free accounts get three built-in objects for tips and three for YouTube Jewels. Pro removes the cap, lets you upload your own objects and sounds, and removes the small Vplank mark from the overlay.
  3. Add the overlay to OBSCopy the Throw Stuff overlay URL into an OBS browser source at 1920×1080 and place it above your avatar.
  4. Optional: the VTS knockIf VTube Studio is connected, a hit can nudge the model. It is off by default and safe to leave off.
  5. Fire a test throwThe dashboard's test button throws one so you can check the position before you are live.

Questions

Do I need VTube Studio for this?

No. The overlay draws the object and the splat by itself. VTube Studio is only needed for the extras that act on the model itself: the optional knock-back, and Pro's Part Paint and Stick on Model.

Will it cover my face?

The objects splat where they land and fade. You choose the object set, and the overlay sits in its own OBS source you can position freely.

How many objects can I have?

Three built-in objects for tips and three for YouTube Jewels on the free plan, whichever service the tips come through. Pro removes the cap and lets you upload your own.

Does it slow OBS down?

It is a small browser source with a handful of moving sprites; on a normal streaming PC the cost is negligible.
