Make your VTube Studio avatar react to donations
A viewer tips, and your model does the thing — surprised at $1, blush at $2, panic at $5. Real hotkeys on your real model, not a sticker on top of the screen.
How it works
Vplank connects to the plugin API that VTube Studio already ships with, so there is nothing extra to install into VTS. You authorise the connection once, inside VTube Studio, and Vplank can fire the hotkeys and expressions you have already set up.
Because it drives your own hotkeys, anything your model can do is a possible reaction: an expression, an animation, a prop, an item drop.
Set it up
- Turn on the VTube Studio APIIn VTube Studio: Settings → the plug icon → enable “Start API”. The default port is 8001. Keep VTS running on the same PC as OBS.
- Connect from the dashboardOpen the Reaction Menu tool and press Connect. VTube Studio shows an authorisation popup once — accept it, and the token is remembered.
- Map prices to hotkeysEach row is an amount and a hotkey: 20 → Surprised, 50 → Blush, 100 → Panic. Pick how long an expression is held before it reverts.
- Connect your tip serviceIn Connections, link Ko-fi, Streamlabs, StreamElements or Gank so the tips actually reach the overlay.
- Add the overlay to OBSCopy the overlay URL into an OBS browser source. It shows your priced menu to viewers and drives VTS in the background.
Questions
Do I need a VTube Studio plugin?
No. VTube Studio has a built-in API — you just switch it on. Nothing is installed into VTS itself.
Will it work with my existing hotkeys?
Yes, that is the point. Vplank reads the hotkey list out of VTube Studio and you pick from it.
Does an expression get stuck on?
No. Each row has a hold time, and the expression is switched back off when it ends.
How much does it cost?
Three reaction tiers are free forever. Pro lifts the limit and adds six more overlays.
